When it came to showings Henderson said her team put safety first but still delivered a top-notch experience for the dozens of qualified buyers who viewed the home.

“This home needed to be experienced to be fully appreciated and with the arrival of COVID-19 we had to be creative in our efforts to achieve this along with ensuring we were protecting everyone’s health. To showcase the home, we arranged for multiple photoshoots capturing the home at different times of the day, a professional video and offered virtual tours both pre-recorded and live. We endeavored to make each showing a celebration. We made every attempt to keep everyone safe while delivering a truly memorable experience. This was best achieved through private, in-person showings which were complete with a sanitizing station, catered hors d’oeuvres, champagne, and breathtaking views.

Tami Henderson

The lower-level guest retreat is accessed via a floating staircase with a 22ft soaring glass window-wall backdrop or private elevator. This estate truly represents luxury living at its finest. Henderson said the Desert Mountain community and club amenities were also major selling points.

“It was imperative that we were able to share information about living in Desert Mountain and the Desert Mountain Club. Being a resident of Desert Mountain, a Club member, and a member of the HOA board, I was fully prepared to share information on the security and unparalleled amenities Desert Mountain has to offer,” Henderson said.

Luxury Agent Kelly Jones represented the buyer. Like other luxury buyers, Jones said it was important for her have a clear understanding of exactly what her was buyer was really seeking, and what was essential in finding the home of their dreams.

“I often tell people that it is not unusual to get a sense that they have found the right home the moment that they walk in the door. This was true when my wonderful buyers walked in the door of this magnificent estate. That said, we were very discriminating and our due diligence took some time and we used a number of ‘experts’ to scrutinize every aspect of the house. It was worth it. My clients could not be happier. The home is a perfect fit,” said Jones.

Recently boasting the record for the most expensive home sold in Arizona, the Scottsdale-based brokerage has now closed on the highest residential sale price, as well as the highest price per-square-foot both in Mirabel Golf Community according to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS).

Real Estate Advisor Patrick Rice of the Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty Desert Mountain office was the listing agent responsible for breaking both sales records.

In the first transaction – Rice represented the seller and closed the highest residential sale in the Mirabel Golf Community for $4,275,000 according to MLS.  The modern home called “SkyView” features Bulthaup kitchen cabinets with Miele appliances, views from every room, pocket doors for seamless indoor and outdoor living, a spacious poolside workout room with a full bath and steam fixture.  The home also features a family media room with a wet bar and an elevated view patio, in addition to a negative edge lap pool and spa.

The second record, again broken by Rice of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, now sets the record for the highest price per-square-foot on MLS at $753.27 in the community. This one-of-a-kind custom home, was also designed by Tate Studio Architects, and sold for $3,395,000.

This is a beautiful and well-appointed home that showcases some extraordinary modern and contemporary architecture. It was a pleasure to represent the sellers and really show off what Tate Studio had envisioned which was versatility and very forward-thinking desert architecture.

Patrick Rice

The dramatic features and custom-made furniture were part of sale and part of the allure, as was the homesite. It sits at the pinnacle of the Mirabel Club community, on a double fairway with spectacular views of the city lights, golf, mountains and sunsets.

The relationship you build with someone when you’re designing their home is unlike any relationship in architecture that I have experienced. As an artist, you want to feel that connection and know that your work resonates with the person who will live in it and will have many experiences and memories in the home for many years to come.
