Deems Dickinson Retires as Designated Broker and President

Accomplished Designated Broker and President Deems Dickinson of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty Retires and Reflects on 44 Years Guiding Arizona’s Leading Luxury Brokerage.

Dickinson Led a Team of 900+ Agents and Oversaw Four Decades of Real Estate Transactions at Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, Including Some of the State’s Highest Sales.

Arizona’s Luxury Leader Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty announces with great regards and gratitude the retirement of one of its longest-tenured and most impactful company leaders.

Deems Dickinson has been part of the Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty family for an
incredible 44 years, retiring as President and Designated Broker, a role that he held for 14 years with
the firm, having previously served as Managing Broker of 5 different offices for 25 years on behalf
of the company.

Dickinson ended his career as a REALTOR Emeritus and exemplified a spirit of service and a
lifetime of learning, as he served as an Advisory Council Member of the Russ Lyon Foundation, on
the Board of Directors of the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service (ARMLS), and on the Board
of Directors of The Realty Alliance. He had previously been on the Board of Directors for the
National Association of REALTORS, the Chair of the Professional Standards Committee of the
Scottsdale and Arizona Associations of REALTORS, and served as the Director of Training for the
Elite School of Real Estate.

Reflecting on his career, Dickinson said, “As the steward of such a remarkable company, I have had
many opportunities in the real estate industry locally, across the state of Arizona, and nationally,
which allowed me to grow my career to what it is today. I will always cherish the lifelong friendships
and business relationships that I have developed over the last 44 years.”

As for what’s next for Dickinson, he is looking forward to schedule-free mornings, time with his
wife Betsy, their grandchildren, and adult children, traveling and volunteering for causes they care
about. He also looks forward to enjoying his passion for the outdoors in greater depth, including
fishing, jeeping, hiking and camping, golf, and pickleball. Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty
thanks him for both how he helped the firm grow, as well as the personalized expertise and warm,
white-glove service he provided to the Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty family.

“It is with an overwhelming amount of gratitude and pride and that we congratulate Deems on 44 years with our company. I began working with Deems when my father Dennis Lyon, was still running the company many decades ago. Deems’ knowledge, patience, and leadership has not only
been an inspiration to all our agents but also to my own family and everyone who has had the pleasure of working with him these last four decades. We will miss him tremendously, but we know he will have some great times ahead in retirement.”

Jim Lyon, Owner and Chairman of Russ
Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty

Dickinson will be succeeded as the statewide Designated Broker by Bret Lamberson. Lamberson
grew up in Flagstaff, AZ, and joined Russ Lyon Realty of Flagstaff in 2005. Lamberson is a licensed
attorney in Arizona and California. He and his wife, Stephanie, reside in Flagstaff and split time in
their home in the historic district of downtown Phoenix with their two young children.

New Record For The Highest-Priced Home Ever Sold in Mesa

The $6 Million Las Sendas Estate Offers More Than 8,500-Square-Feet of Luxury Living Equipped With a Guest House, Fully Finished Basement and Its Own Built-in Rockwall and Slide

Arizona’s luxury leader, Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, is pleased to announce yet another record-breaking sale. This time, the Scottsdale-based brokerage sold the highest-priced home in Northeast Mesa’s Las Sendas community.  Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty Associate Broker Cindi DeWine and Agent Mary Wolf-Breen represented the seller.

The property, located at 8458 E Vista Canyon Circle in Mesa, Arizona, closed on Friday for an impressive $6 million.

The magnificent residence, built in 2021 and situated in the prestigious Diamond Point community in Las Sendas, is on 1.39 acres bordering the Tonto National Forest.

Designed to cater to entertainment and multi-generational living, this estate is a testament to grandeur and sophistication. As you pass through the gates of this exceptional property, you’ll be greeted by a private drive and a grand porte-cochere leading to the 7-car garage, which separates the main residence from the guest home. The soaring glass walls seamlessly disappear, revealing a massive, covered patio that overlooks the infinity-edge heated pool and spa with mesmerizing fire features.

Boasting more than 8,500 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms, 3 half bathrooms, and a fully finished basement, the beautiful estate also includes a guest house that redefines luxury living. The interior features include a breakfast bar, exercise and sauna room, a great room, a library with built-in bookcases, a gym, a full house intercom, and a wet bar catering to the most discerning tastes.

“It was truly an honor to represent this exquisite property and set a new record for the entire city of Mesa and the Las Sendas community is equally exciting,” said Agent Cindi DeWine of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty.  “We will miss visiting this beautiful and extraordinary property. There is nothing quite like these sunsets, but we are also excited to share our next listing, which is currently in the works.”

Co-listing Agent Mary Wolf-Breen added, “I am truly grateful for the opportunity to represent the sellers as well and for such an exquisite property. I, too, will miss the sunset views, mountain air, and the home’s natural beauty.”

In addition to the spectacular views of area mountains and city lights, the home’s amenities are equally impressive. It offers a contemporary separate guest house that provides a private oasis for guests and family alike.

This property is further enhanced by a custom children’s play area and gym, complete with a built-in rock wall and slide, ensuring endless entertainment and enjoyment.

Russ Lyon SIR Welcomes Terry Pickering

Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty is dedicated to bringing the highest level of service to today’s home buyers and sellers. This tradition continues with the recent addition of luxury Real Estate Advisor Terry Pickering to the Camelback Tower Office.

Terry Pickering’s passion for real estate started very early in his adult life. He purchased his first fixer-upper in his 20s and lived in that home until he completed his nursing degree in 1995. Terry sold the home and made enough to pay off his school expenses. He then spent 26 years in healthcare. His first 8+ years as a registered nurse and then as an IT healthcare executive supporting several academic and pediatric healthcare organizations. During that time, Terry also bought and sold several homes, which at the time, was somewhat of a hobby. He will always be grateful for so many amazing experiences throughout his career in healthcare and still have an Arizona RN license. Terry Pickering just cannot let that go!

Having owned and invested in Scottsdale since 2010, Terry understands the local market and has a wealth of knowledge about what Scottsdale has to offer. He brings with his honesty, integrity, and a great appreciation for the diverse country we live in. Terry treats his clients with the same care and concern as he gave his patients as a nurse.

Terry Pickering has developed good skills for being a great listener and looks forward to learning about your real estate goals.

Terry is such a welcome addition to our brand and especially to the Camelback Tower location! He’s friendly, intelligent and extremely motivated. We are so excited to watch all that the future holds with his professional standards partnering with ours!
