Former Professional Baseball Player turned Real Estate Agent Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty has recruited former professional baseball player Timothy Alderson to join its luxury real brokerage.
After playing in the MLB for 10 years with the San Francisco Giants, Pittsburgh Pirates, Baltimore Orioles, Oakland Athletics, and Washington Nationals, Alderson has decided to switch career paths and venture into real estate.
Alderson’s brother, a real estate agent in New York, is credited for sparking his interest in the business. As for choosing to represent Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, Alderson says the choice was easy.
“As soon as I walked in, it seemed like a great fit. There was just such a great vibe in the office; everyone seemed very genuine and wanted to help,” said Timothy Alderson. “I am excited to join a brokerage which prides itself on white glove service and excellence at every level.”
Alderson attributes many of the valuable traits that he brings to the table in real estate to his baseball career. Having dealt with a multitude of high profile subjects, intimidation is not a factor when it comes to meeting new people. Traveling frequently has also helped him gain the necessary skills that allow him to connect with clients on a personal level, making them feel comfortable and at ease.
Born and raised in Arizona, Alderson is eager to gear his focus in real estate towards the Scottsdale area, where he also coaches baseball at Notre Dame Preparatory High School.
