Shamrock Chic: Incorporating Green Accents into Your Home for St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect time to embrace all things green, and what better way to celebrate than by incorporating this fresh and lively color into your home decor? Whether you’re looking for subtle touches or bold statements, green accents can add charm, warmth, and a festive spirit to your space. Here are some stunning homes that showcase green elements beautifully, proving that this timeless color works year-round.

442 E Camelback Rd #161 – A Green Kitchen Oasis

A green kitchen is a bold and refreshing design choice, and this home on Camelback Road fully embraces it. Green cabinetry adds depth and sophistication, creating a space that feels both modern and inviting. Whether you’re cooking up a St. Patrick’s Day feast or simply enjoying your morning coffee, the verdant hues in this kitchen make for an inspiring atmosphere. Pairing green cabinets with gold hardware or natural wood accents enhances the holiday spirit while keeping the design elegant and timeless.

Not only does this home boast a stunning green kitchen, but it also features a stylish green bathroom. A green bathroom brings a spa-like atmosphere, evoking a sense of calm and relaxation. Whether through green tiles, accent walls, or cabinetry, this space makes a striking design statement while maintaining a refreshing, nature-inspired feel.

10029 E Calle De Las Brisas – Nature-Inspired Green Elegance

Another home that masterfully integrates green into its kitchen is this beauty on Calle De Las Brisas. Here, green tones bring a sense of tranquility and connection to nature, perfect for those who love earthy aesthetics. The color effortlessly pairs with neutral countertops and backsplash choices, allowing the green to stand out without overwhelming the space. Add some fresh greenery, such as potted herbs or a vase of fresh clovers, to enhance the festive vibe.

14360 E Desert Cove – A Game Room with St. Patrick’s Day Flair

For those who love to entertain, this home on Desert Cove offers a unique way to incorporate green into your interior. With a pool table and bar accented in green, this space is ready for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Imagine gathering friends for a game of pool while sipping on Irish-inspired cocktails in a setting that already embraces the holiday’s signature color. And for a cozy yet stylish touch, the green couch in the living room ties everything together, making the home feel both chic and welcoming.

8541 N Farview Drive – Subtle Elegance for St. Patrick’s Day Green

For a subtle touch of St. Patrick’s Day, 8541 N Farview Dr in Desert Cove introduces a hint of green that transforms any gathering into an elegant celebration. Each room subtly incorporates green accents, from the lush, verdant throws and pillows to the custom green-tinted glass in cabinetry, bringing a refreshing burst of color that complements the neutral palette. The home’s modern aesthetic blends sophistication with the vibrancy of spring, creating a space that is as stylish as it is welcoming. With its thoughtful design and pristine condition, this residence offers a move-in-ready experience where luxury meets convenience and every day feels like a celebration.

Bringing Green into Your Home

Even if your home doesn’t already feature green accents, there are plenty of ways to bring in the color for the holiday. Consider adding emerald throw pillows, lush plants, or green-hued dinnerware for a subtle nod to St. Patrick’s Day. For those looking to make a more permanent change, painting an accent wall, updating your cabinetry, or investing in a statement furniture piece in a deep green shade can breathe new life into any room.

This St. Patrick’s Day, let your home celebrate in style with chic green accents that go beyond just one day. Whether through bold design choices or simple decorative touches, embracing this lucky color can add vibrancy and charm to your living space.

Presenting “The House on the Hill”

An Exquisite French Country Estate Nestled On Its Own Private Bluff in Arizona’s Famous Citrus Corridor

Luxury Real Estate Agents Christine Anthony and Jennifer Sturgeon of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty are proud to present “The House on the Hill,” a one-of-a-kind, recently updated 6,000-square-foot French Country Modern estate nestled within a privately gated enclave of 24 custom homes.

This extraordinary property, which is located at 1233 E. Salado Circle in Mesa, Arizona is listed for $2,750,000 and is being offered for sale for the first time.

“What makes this property so spectacular is how it is perfectly positioned at the end of its own cul-de-sac and set on its own pristine, one-acre manicured bluff,” said Listing Agent Christine Anthony.  “It offers sweeping views of the idyllic Lehi Valley in North Mesa, with breathtaking vistas of Camelback Mountain, sparkling city lights and Arizona’s renowned sunsets.”

The home’s bluff side location and its sunset views were some of the most compelling motivations that lead Bob and Leann Klepinger to purchase the land and embark on a two-year build of their dream home.

“We loved coming here together to watch the sunsets as the home was being built.  It’s fair to say the sunsets and events held here with family and friends are what we will miss the most,” Bob Klepinger said.

“This was our dream home.  There are so many special memories that we will take with us, but now it’s time to give another family the opportunity to enjoy it and make memories of their own,” said Leann Klepinger.

Exuding exquisite craftsmanship and timeless European elegance, the stately home features a steeply-pitched roof and dormer windows. Inside there’s coffered and tray ceilings, custom Burdette cabinetry, Anderson casement windows, stunning herringbone-patterned white oak flooring, and custom trim work highlighted by a striking high-gloss finish.

The architectural details and designer lighting fixtures abound throughout the expansive living spaces which were designed with both entertaining and everyday comfort in mind.

The grand living room is a true masterpiece, showcasing architectural corbels, a dramatic barrel-vaulted ceiling, and an opulent crystal chandelier and carved Cantera stone fireplace that warmly welcomes guests. Inspired by the charming storefronts of London, a beautifully designed alcove near the foyer provides a perfect setting for a cherished family piano, a nod to European elegance. Adjacent to the foyer, a private den features sophisticated built-in cherry wood cabinetry and shelving, offering a refined retreat for work or relaxation.

Bathed in natural light, the heart of the home is the spacious family room, where coffered ceilings and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace create warmth and sophistication. French slider doors and a seamless wall of glass connect to an expansive covered patio for indoor and outdoor entertaining.

The gourmet kitchen is a showstopper, featuring Cambria quartz countertops, intricate trim work with brass accents, and clean high-gloss white cabinetry. A walnut butcher block countertop on the expansive island, paired with brass-finished pendant lights by Visual Comfort & Co. adds warmth, and dual Sub Zero refrigerators, a 48” gas range with dual ovens, warming drawer and dual Bosch dishwashers create the ultimate culinary retreat.

The owner’s suite offers a spacious retreat with serene views of the Valley. The ensuite bath is bathed in natural light, its walls adorned with vertically-laid geometric tiles and the freestanding tub is flanked by two leaded-glass privacy windows. Gleaming white cabinets and quartz counters are accented by brass Kohler Purist faucets and coordinating hardware.

A walk-in closet with customized shelving offers a 3-way dressing mirror and a secondary washer and dryer for convenience.

Step downstairs into a 1,524-square-foot finished basement with high ceilings and a ‘walk out ’ exit leading up to back yard space, and featuring an impressive entertaining space equipped with surround sound and its own built-in stage and wet bar area. Two large bedrooms, a full bath and an oversized storage room also occupy this secluded retreat.

Outside, experience the unparalleled beauty of the Arizona landscape, perfectly positioned on an elevated bluff to capture panoramic views of the Valley. The outdoor amenities are spectacular, featuring a custom-designed 10-foot-deep swimming pool with a spa and slide, and a lush grassy lawn and private garden seating area that has served as the backdrop for elegant wedding receptions and countless outdoor gatherings. Additional backyard highlights include a newly installed putting green, expansive covered patios, an outdoor pool bath, a children’s playground, and a handsomely designed ramada featuring a built-in BBQ with adjacent seating.

A full-size laundry center and craft room features abundant cabinetry and countertop space, a built-in ironing station, and a center island perfect for projects and organizing.

The estate also boasts a 1,328-square-foot extended-length three-car garage, equipped with built-in cabinets, over-height doors, a 50-amp outlet and ample storage. There’s also an additional 987-square-foot air-conditioned bonus space above the garage which offers endless possibilities and could serve as a playroom, fitness room, workshop, or extra storage.

The estate is located within the 24-home gated community of Pueblo Viejo, which features a fully-stocked koi pond with a cascading waterfall, as well as a lighted tennis and pickleball court.

Convenience cannot be understated, as this serene retreat is just minutes from Sky Harbor Airport, restaurants and shopping in downtown Scottsdale and Phoenix, and offers close access to world-class golf, hiking, boating, paddling, cycling and mountain biking.

The Return to Formal Living in 2025

In the ever-evolving landscape of luxury real estate, Arizona’s market is leading a renaissance in refined living spaces. Discerning buyers, whose tastes are shaped by the desire for elegance and functionality, are moving away from the open-floor concepts that dominated the previous decade. Instead, they are gravitating towards properties that feature distinct, purpose-built areas for living and entertaining. This shift marks a return to a classic form of hosting and living, where formal dining and sitting rooms reemerge as central elements of home design.

Michael Rankin, a principal at TTR Sotheby’s International Realty, notes a significant change in buyer preferences. “Our clientele are increasingly seeking homes that offer formal spaces designed for grand entertaining as well as intimate family gatherings,” says Rankin. This trend is particularly pronounced in homes valued above $5 million, where buyers expect their residences to accommodate not just their lifestyle but also their aspirations for hosting and privacy.

The influence of the pandemic on living spaces has been profound and enduring. As families spent more time at home, the need for adaptable, multi-functional spaces became clear. Homes now are expected to serve as sanctuaries for relaxation and as efficient venues for remote work and privacy. Martin Hagen, a luxury real estate specialist with Engel & Völkers Brentwood, elaborates on this transformation. “The shift towards homes with more rooms and defined spaces was accelerated by the pandemic, highlighting the need for environments that support both productivity and personal well-being,” he explains.

Architects and designers are responding to this shift by revisiting what might be termed ‘European-style’ elegance in home design. New constructions and renovations now often feature distinct formal spaces that offer a balance of function and luxury, tailored to the nuanced needs of modern families. These spaces are not only functional but are imbued with a timeless charm that enhances their appeal.

As Arizona’s premier luxury real estate firm, Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty is at the forefront of this shift, offering properties that embody sophistication and utility. Each home curated by Russ Lyon Sotheby’s is more than just a residence; it is a haven that stands the test of time, designed to meet the exacting standards of the most discerning clientele. This dedication to providing homes that perfectly balance the traditional with the modern ensures that each property is not just seen but felt, as a profound expression of refined living.
