Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty Sweet Sixteen

Top 16 Sales in ’16: Last Year’s Biggest Sales for Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty Homes

You could call it the $weet 16 for Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty: the top 16 homes, in terms of sale price, out of a field of 5,770 units in 2016.

It all serves to highlight a stellar year for the Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty team, which racked up record digits with $3.1 billion in total sales.

“Quality always sells,” says Jim Lyon, Chairman of Russ Lyon | Sotheby’s International Realty. “These extraordinary properties were meticulously designed, built and maintained for ultra-discerning homeowners. This translates into value in today’s market. Matching those properties with qualified buyers is what we’ve been doing for 70 years.”

The last “seed” of the Sweet 16 is a $4.25 million stunner on 6702 E. Fez Way in Paradise Valley sold by Russ Lyon Sotheby International Realty listing agent Brynn O’Connell.

Sitting at #1 in the rankings is the top sale of the year in all of Arizona (and the second highest sale historically in the state) – a sprawling $13.7 million jaw-dropper at 23036 N. Via Ventosa in Scottsdale, which was sold by Russ Lyon Sotheby International Realty listing agent Bob Hassett. With views of city lights and mountains, the Mediterranean masterpiece is a 25,989-square-foot, 9-bedroom, 17-bathroom estate sprawls over 6.5 acres in one of North Scottsdale’s most desirable gated communities. It features a two-story exercise building with a racquetball court, Olympic-sized pool, tennis court, spa, putting green, gazebo, three hot tubs and 12 garages to store a healthy car collection.

At $11,110,000, the awe-inspiring home at 10814 E. Heritage Court 1610 in Scottsdale sold by Russ Lyon Sotheby International Realty listing agent Joanie Barrerio is the only other 8-digit sale in the $weet 16. This 12,833-square-foot, 6-bedroom, 9-bathroom contemporary Mediterranean glamour palace. An estate pool, a lap pool, two spas, an enclosed pool cabana, a home theater or game room and a 1,000-bottle wine cellar – these are some of the additional features that make this estate most memorable.

Rounding out the Top 3 is a larger-than-life $7.7 million home at 42202 N. 102nd St. in Scottsdale sold by Russ Lyon Sotheby International Realty listing agents Cheryl d’AnnaDonna LeGate and Bob Terry. This 8,460-square-foot, 5-bedroom, 7.5 bathroom beauty is one of the most magnificent homes and homesites in Arizona. Sitting atop a 1-acre hillside lot, this impressive estate offers stunning panoramic views, a guest house, private library and theater room.
